Faith Leader Day on the Hill

In this current climate of divisive and hateful rhetoric, the need for moral leadership and humanizing conversations is incredibly important. That is why we are bringing together faith leaders across traditions to engage with our elected officials about our values as Tennesseans and speak to the impact state legislation has on our congregations and communities. This is particularly important considering that the TN legislature has sued the federal government to disrupt refugee resettlement in our state, a program that embodies the fundamental values of our nation and of our faith traditions. We hope this can be a time to envision a state that is truly welcoming and legislation that betters the lives of all Tennesseans.
The morning will also begin with an Immigrant and Refugee Faith Leader breakfast intended to build fellowship and power amongst Tennessee's immigrant and refugee communities of faith.
