Panel Discussion on Experiences of LGBTQ+ Refugees

During the month of June, we celebrate LGBTQ PRIDE month and World Refugee Day. The Lancaster LGBTQ+ Coalition, Church World Service in partnership with Amita Mehta Possible, LLC and Mustafa Nuur invite you, community influencers and business allies, to engage in a timely discussion as we build bridges and empower the LGBTQ+ and immigrant and refugee communities.

We will highlight personal stories and experiences, and hear from leaders about the significant roles allies play in championing and sponsoring intersectionality. This interactive event’s aim is to help individuals lean into their vulnerabilities unlocking their own leadership qualities and behaviors to create a climate where people can bring their whole selves to work and life. Each participant will be challenged to dig deeper, step into themselves, including the aspects that we typically try to hide, and be the kind of leader who inspires others to be their best.

Participants will walk away from this virtual event understanding that when we lean into our "misfit" qualities, we increase our emotional intelligence and our ability to be inclusive and effective leaders personally and professionally.
