What’s it like to be a refugee? If you feared for your life and were forced to leave your home, your possessions, your loved ones, and everything you had ever known, where would you go? Who would you trust? To what lengths would you go to keep yourself and your family safe? At the Refugee Simulation workshop, attendees will learn about refugees, how they come to the U.S., the choices they make, and the struggles they endure to reach our shores. During the workshop, each participant will take on the identity of a particular refugee, and leave with a better understanding of what our refugees have gone through.
