Service Doesn't Stop
Join Veterans for American Ideals, Islamic Relief USA, The Mission Continues, and NC Conference Disaster Response on Martin Luther King Day weekend for a service project in Princeville, NC. The first free black community in the country, Princeville was hit hard by Hurricane Matthew two years ago and struggles to recover. We will be helping residents with their homes. Lodging will be provided overnight on the 20th if you'd like to stay for the full two days. Consider coming for what time you can to help this community get back on their feet.
Who: Any adults 18 and older. Children under the age of 18 must have parental consent or supervision to attend.
What: Community transformation and clean up
When: 9:00 AM Sunday, January 20th to the afternoon on Monday, January 21st. (Lodging will be provided to those staying overnight)
Where: Princeville, NC
Uniform - Sturdy clothes fit for outdoor work. Consider wearing heavy or steel-toed boots
